Hey Y'all, I'm Rachel.
Wife. Mother. Stepmom. Writer. Coach. Counselor. Baseball Fanatic. Truth Teller. Follower of Jesus Christ.
If you’re reading this right now, you likely came across one of my blog posts or social media while desperately searching the internet for anything that could help you make sense of why you’ve been struggling so hard as a stepmom, and give you real hope that things could change. I know- because that used to be me just over a decade ago.
Once upon a time, I was that struggling new stepmom trying to understand why my life felt like a constant bombardment of negative thoughts and feelings, and why I couldn’t seem to get unstuck. I remember the relief I felt when I came across the ONE blog post where a stepmom courageously shared the battles going on inside her own heart and mind, and how God shifted her perspective. In that moment I realized I was not alone, and God gave me a vision that one day He would use me to be that safe space and support for stepmoms and stepfamilies.
I am not ashamed to admit that stepmotherhood has been one of the hardest challenges I have ever faced, which is why this work isn’t just professional for me- it’s personal. I have walked the hard, beautiful, complicated road of stepfamily life, and I am deeply committed to being for you- the support I needed when I became a stepmom. This is more than a career-it’s a calling.
Authentically,
Rachel
